Sa Taula
About This Spot
Stepping into Sa Taula feels like being invited into a quiet moment of Fornells’ coastal rhythm. Nestled on a gentle street just off the village’s main pulse, the restaurant carries a relaxed yet thoughtful energy—a place where the pace naturally slows, inviting you to settle in and savor your surroundings as much as your meal.
The T-shaped layout of the building, an understated nod to the island’s rich history, creates an intimate flow between spaces, culminating in a rooftop terrace that opens up with soft light and views stretching over the town’s rooftops. There’s an easy stillness here, lightly stirred by the friendly attentiveness of the team, making it a spot to cherish quietly with company or to linger over conversation.
At the heart of the experience is a menu shaped by the Mediterranean’s abundant gifts, where every ingredient seems chosen with care and every flavor blends with intent. Dishes emerge with a balance that feels natural rather than forced—whether it’s the delicate char of grilled octopus, the warm comfort of patatas bravas, or the surprising yet harmonious touches like porky sobrasada paired with tender squid. Even the vegetarian offerings hold their own, thoughtfully composed and satisfying in their simplicity.
The artistry extends beyond the plate, inviting moments of discovery in every bite and sip. The desserts, such as a softly set coconut mousse with mango or a bright lemon pie, provide gentle finishes that linger without overwhelming, just like the place itself.
What truly settles over Sa Taula is the sense of space created by attentiveness—service that moves with ease and respect, making you feel seen without intruding. It’s a rare alignment of careful hospitality, genuine flavors, and a setting where the light shifts quietly from afternoon to evening. For those drawn to a meal that asks you to slow down and appreciate a coastal town’s quietly woven stories, Sa Taula offers a thoughtful and serene invitation.

Great restaurant in the cozy streets of Fornells. The building has a roof top and is T-shaped, which is a reference to the many famous historical sites on the island. Fast and friendly service and great dishes.

100% recommend visiting Sa Taula. It was the best food we had during our holiday. Every dish we ordered was 10/10, amazing flavours and cooked perfectly. The service was excellent and lovely atmosphere up on the rooftop.

Dinner at Sa Tuala is one of those rare experiences where everything aligns, food, service, setting — without any of it trying too hard. The rooftop terrace has a dreamy, quietly magical atmosphere, and the service is warm, relaxed, and on point. The attention to detail is so finely tuned you almost don’t notice it, everything just flows. The food is exceptional. It’s genuinely hard to pick a favourite. The croquetas de gamba are a standout, intensely flavourful yet light and crisp. The raviolis de gamba are delicate and beautifully balanced, the pasta barely there. The calamari with caramelised onion was tender, full of depth, and perfectly seasoned. We also had mussels in a creamy sauce and a watermelon salad to start; fresh and summery without being obvious. To finish: a lemon pie with just the right hit of citrus and a surprisingly delightful “chocolate on toast” with sea salt that hit all the right nostalgic and indulgent notes. Glasses of local Menorcan wine paired perfectly. The full stop on the evening, a frozen pomada Update: We returned. And we’re so glad we did. We started with a chapitu of sandía, and the pastel de tomàquet, topped with creamy tomato ice cream - was a total surprise and absolutely sensational. The gambas with artichokes were beautifully cooked. We had to repeat the croquetas de gamba (too good not to), but also tried the croquetas de sepia, which were just as moreish. The tuna carpaccio was light, fresh, and delicate, and the pulpo was tender and full of flavour. The bacalao - wow. Perfectly cooked, rich without being heavy. We ended with the homemade chocolate truffles, to finish the evening off perfectly. Still one of our favourite meals in Menorca

Best dinner we had on the island. Nice style of cuisine with good local ingredients and modern presentation , everything very tasty and super super fresh. They definitely know how to prepare fish without spoiling the delicate taste. Also a very good selection of vegetarian dishes. Everything was perfect but my favourite was the squid with sopresada such a nice combination. The service is fast but not pushing. The girls serving are super sweet, friendly, and attentive. They know the menu well and can give good suggestions with a beautiful smile. Thanks for the beautiful experience.

We ate here twice when we were in Fornells. Both occasions excellent. The roof top terrace is beautiful. Fine views. The food isn't cheap, but nothing is in Fornells. I would say average price for the town. Service is superb, very attentive but discreet. Helpful and happy to explain dishes. We are not fish eaters (a problem in Fornells) but their vegetable dishes are excellent. Recommend courgette carpaccio and their bravas fries with eggs are both filling and superb. A visit is a quality experience.

Nice restaurant with a great menu. We loved the chilled goatcheese with tomatocake. Never had something like this before. And the croquettes are homemade, big plus! Would go back.

Amazing atmosphere & great food. The upper terrace has great views especially at sunset. Would highly recommend the octopus, squid ink croquettes, prawn and mushroom ravioli & the cod (either this or octopus was the best dish)

Food was amazing, view was amazing, everything was just perfect. Nil, the waiter who served me, was very kind and I can tell he is hardworking.
